BrainBasket launched programming courses in Moldova

BrainBasket Foundation, with the support of WNISEF, launched free courses on the basics of programming for kids and adults in Chisinau in partnership with NGO Youth Development for Innovation as a local partner.

Technology Nation is a social educational project that gives everyone an opportunity to make the first step in IT and learn the basics of programming.

Course is held in blended learning format, which combines online materials and offline classes under mentor’s supervision. Kids aged 9-11 learn the basics of programming on Scratch for 3 months, adults study the basics of popular programming languages using Harvard CS50 online course.

«In 2017 we piloted a group in Chisinau and received a lot of positive feedback. This year, with the support of WNISEF, we are pleased to have the opportunity to expand our presence in Moldova and share experience in implementing blended learning format for the IT sector», said Illia Onyshchenko, Program Director of BrainBasket.
